Sony has introduced a new digital camera especially for professional photographers; the Sony Alpha DSLR-A900 Digital Camera. This camera comes with a tough magnesium-alloy body with a dust and moisture protection factor.
Sony Alpha DSLR-A900 24MP Digital Camera comes with a picture resolution of 24.6 mega-pixels that produces superior quality images. It permits continuous shooting at the rate of 5 frames per second. These images can be previewed on the camera’s 3-inch LCD screen which has a display resolution of 921K pixels. Shot images can also be viewed on the computer (through the USB-PC interface) and on a television (using the camera’s video-out port). It works on a NP-FM500H battery system which has a battery life of approximately 880 shots. It has a dimension of 156.3×116.9×81.9 mm and a weight of 939 grams. This makes the camera a heavier piece.
Sony Alpha DSLR-A900 Digital Camera utilises the Bionz image processing engine to deliver realistic images with low noise. The camera’s comes with an in-built Image Stabilisation feature which prevents blurred images that occur due to handshake. This Sony DSLR Camera has managed to cater to the need of everyone by introducing top-quality G series and Carl Zeiss lenses, that come with higher optical precision as compared to many other lenses. Sony has incorporated the HVL-F58AM flash system at the top of the lighting system, this allows the flash head to swivel in left and right direction up-to 90 degrees thus maintaining the correct flash orientation for better shots.
The Sony Alpha DSLR-A900 Digital Camera includes a Dynamic Range Optimizer feature which analyses the scene and automatically adjusts the contrast and exposure settings to deliver true-to-life images. It also includes about 13 Image styles; which can be used to adjust the contrast, saturation, sharpness and brightness of an image to achieve the desired tone and creative effects. It comes with a light sensitivity ranging between ISO 200 to ISO 3200; this range can however be expanded between ISO100 to ISO 6400. Its Intelligent preview function provides users with the option of adjusting the settings even before an image is shot. Additionally it comes with 3 user programmable custom memory modes that is available on the camera’s mode dial. The Sony A900 comes with a wireless remote control and a CD-ROM consisting of necessary software.
