Its design is identical to the Ricoh Digital II, except for a new lens system, an LCD screen and an image processing engine. The 10MP Ricoh GR Digital III features a 3-inch, 920,000 pixel high resolution LCD screen for composing subjects and viewing captured images. It measures 108.6 x 59.8 x 25.5 mm in dimensions and weighs about 188 grams. It is equipped with an 88MB of internal memory that can be increased using external SD, SDHC memory cards.

The Ricoh GR Digital III Camera features a 10 mega-pixel sensor that improves the low-light pictures providing better quality images. A 4x digital zoom has been provided, however one needs to understand that the digital magnification factor may result in distorted images. Objects situated as close as 1cm can be captured by setting the macro focus range of the camera. Its 28mm lens system is a perfect choice if you want to capture landscape subjects. An ISO 1600 light sensitivity deliver better images even if shot in challenging lighting conditions. The f1/9 aperture makes it possible to shoot at fast speeds. Ricoh GR Digital III Compact Camera has a dynamic range double shot functionality that prevents overexposure and underexposure in high contrast scenes. It also distributes the light aptly thereby providing a realistic feel to the picture.
