Olympus has turned up with their new model of digital camera with the new and improved Olympus E500 digital camera. The black exterior colour of this digital camera is also very much appealing. Apart from its external look the internal functionalities of this new digital camera are very prominent.
The Olympus E500 is a digital SLR camera that has been created specially for professional photographers in digital imaging. This new digital camera is an 8-mega-pixel camera with a CCD image sensor that supports a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. It is this CCD sensor having a size of 4/3 inch that records the light falling on the camera and in fact captures the image you have to shoot. This camera supports an optical zoom of 1x and also a digital zoom of 1x, where both indicates the zoom capacity of the camera via the optics of the camera and also via the digital technology.
The new Olympus E500 digital camera also features an auto focus feature as well as manual focus feature. This digital camera also has a play back monitor that is a hyper crystal LCD panel of size 2.5 inches and it supports 215,250 pixel resolutions.
The additional features that support the Olympus E500 digital camera includes PictBridge capability, image editing, support for various languages, DPOF compatibility, various copy modes, erase modes, shadow point warning, exposure mode and much more.
This new digital camera also supports a range of interfaces that include USB which is a PC interface allowing to connect your camera to your personal computer, hot shoe synchro socket and video signal output interface.
This new Olympus E500 digital camera features a weight of 435 grams that is excluding the batteries and the CF card and its size is described as 129.5 x 94.5 x 66 mm. For power supply the camera uses a Rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack BLM-1 or LBH-1 for 3x CR123A.

The main reason for buying this camera is that the camera is enhanced with digital specific lens. This camera also has hyper crystal monitor with LCD. This outputs the best clarity and clear cut pictures. The flash options are useful; the design of this model is ergonomic. This is cheap when compared to its rivals.
