The new Olympus C-180 digital camera is a 5.1 mega pixel camera supporting resolutions with 2592 x 1944 pixels, 1600 x 1200 pixels and 640 x 480 pixels. One thing to be noted is that the Olympus C-180 digital camera comes with a 4x digital zoom but does not support an optical zoom. The Olympus C-180 digital camera also features a CCD optical sensor with a total of 5,360,000 pixels and the effective sensor resolution is 5,100,000 pixels. This new compact Olympus C-180 digital camera comes with a built in flash featuring flash modes like Fill-in mode, auto mode, and flash OFF mode along with built in red-eye reduction. The effective flash range of this digital camera is 0.2m to 3 m.

The new Olympus C-180 digital camera supports movie recording at a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels at 30 frames per second to the capacity of the card.
