Kodak EasyShare Z950 Digital Camera
February 8, 2010
If you are a person, who appreciates the style and the ultra-compatibility of a camera, then Kodak EasyShare Z950 has nothing to attract you much. But, if you deny this camera for its appearance (some may like it; I don't forget the fact that beauty lies in the beholder's eyes), then it is unfortunate. I must tell you, Kodak Z950 has a lot to offer with its features. Precisely, Kodak EasyShare Z950 is an easy-to-use compact camera, capable to capture 12 mega pixels pictures.
Kodak EasyShare Z950 12MP Camera comes with a 1/ 2.33 inches CCD sensor and has a 10X digital zoom. This super-zoom Kodak camera displays the images on its bright 230K LCD monitor on its back. The rubber coated body will offer you a comfortable grip and the controls are pretty large and user-friendly.
Kodak EasyShare Z950 is a camera that suits well for those who want most of the controls to be manual. Except for white balance, most of the controls offered are manual. When the aperture modes range from 3.5f to 11.3f, its shutter speeds range from 16 seconds to 1/1000 seconds. Settings such as colour effects, exposure bracketing and sharpness adjustments are available as well.
Smart capture mode and 17 available scene modes, along with features such as intelligent scene detection, capture control and image processing are the other useful features available in Kodak EasyShare Z950. You have an option to take continuous shots, and it works fine till you capture up to three shots. It takes some time to store the picture it shoots, but this cannot be said to be major issue as the time lag is reasonable. The overall picture quality is good and the noises in the pictures are quite low. The colours captured are vivid and pleasing, and you have five different colour modes available in it.
Finally, you can also capture videos with Kodak EasyShare Z950, at a resolution of 720 pixels. These are stored as MPEG-4 files by default. Overall, Kodak EasyShare Z950 10X Super-zoom Camera is a compact super-zoom, which offers wide manual controls. This is lacking in many of the present digital cameras and if you don't care the minor pitfalls in its performance, you can always consider grabbing one.
