The Nikon D5000 Digital SLR Camera, is a combination of the Nikon D90 and Nikon D60. It has been designed to shoot high definition video and includes a swivelling LCD screen for optimal shooting convenience. Nikon D5000 12MP Digital SLR Camera is made up of CMOS sensor that provides a resolution of 12.3 mega-pixels that helps deliver superior quality images. It measures 127 x 104 x 80 mm in dimension and weighs about 560 grams. A new 2.7-inch 230k pixel vari-angle LCD monitor is present that can swing down 90 degrees and rotate about 180 degrees. If dust gets accumulated on the sensor then it causes spotting on the resultant images. Nikon's Integrated Dust Reduction System ensures that there is no dust formation on the sensor.
The Nikon D5000 Digital SLR Camera comes with a specially designed EXPEED image processing system for better image quality and faster processing. Live View has a one-touch access system. The Live View mechanism includes face priority auto focusing and subject tracking system. These help in delivering realistic and true-to-life photos. Around 19 scenic modes have been provided for maximum user comfort. It includes a Scene Recognition System that checks the surrounding condition and accordingly adjusts the focus, exposure and white balance settings for optimum results. Video can be recorded at a high resolution of 1280x720 pixels in AVI format.
Nikon D5000 Mid-Range Digital SLR Camera has active D-Lighting function that smooths out the reproduction of colour tones in high contrast surroundings. It features a 11-point AF system for fast and precise focusing. The sensitivity range is also wide and ranges between ISO 200 and 3200. Continuous shooting can be done at the rate of 4fps. It includes a HDMI interface that allows you to view the captured photos and video on any compatible high definition television. Overall, the Nikon D5000 provides a highly efficient and energy saving design that provides a battery power of around 510 images.
