The Samsung NV24 HD 10MP Digital Camera is a 10megapixel digital camera with a 3.6x (equivalence of 24mm to 86mm) optical zoom by Schneider Krueznach Varioplan. A 2.5”LCD display substitutes an optical view finder. A software-based optical image stabilization supporting the sensor as well as another one in the lens corrects both still shots and movies.
In an effort to re-engineer the digital imaging sector its R&D was performed at an all new level and the results were ground-breaking. The Samsung NV24 HD 3.6x Optical Zoom Digital Camera can shoot movies at 1280 x 720 pixels at a maximum of 30 frames per second (up to 60fps at smaller resolutions). It has a high-definition video capability to add to its high-capabilities. Its dimensions are 3.8” x 2.4” x 0.7” making it the world’s smallest digital camera staying in line with the vogue “small is beuatiful”. Leading Samsung’s award winning NV-series from the front the NV24 HD is designed to fulfill the needs of a tech-crazy consumer. Image stabilizers and an optical zoom backs up your video shooting experience. Successive recording modes can pause and the resume filming without having to save each set of frames as separate files. In addition this camera uses the H.264 codec an industry standard that makes the camera compatible with Samsung high-definition televisions and other HD device enabled televisions, provided with the Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) dock. The NV24’s menu can be navigated using the TV’s remote control. The hi-definition CEC dock enables quality digital imaging, in short.
An ultra-wide angle 24mm Schneider lens and a 3.6x optical zoom enables the shooter to capture expanses with great ease. The DRIM engine and the image processor together offer excellent digital output at blazing speeds. Clearly the NV24 HD 10mp 3.6x Digital Camera is the most technologically advanced cameras from Samsung’s digital imaging stable. Dual image stabilization combines both Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S) and Digital Image Stabilization (D.I.S) to provide blur free images even under highly shaky conditions. NV24 has a Photo Style Selector (PSS) situated on the top opposite to the standard mode dial that allows the user to set the camera to a designated shooting mode. For bringing poetic liberty to the shooter’s finger tips, there are seven color profiles including Forest, Retro, cool, calm, vivid, and classic.
Situated on the back of the brushed-black stainless steel body is a user interface that allows easy navigation of menus using the control buttons positioned around the camera’s LCD screen. The LCD display dims or brightens according to the light in the room. Using the multi-slide show users can view their favorite images and have them played back with their favorite MP3 files. The camera uses face detection for snaps that has up to nine faces in it for even imaging. Additionally, it uses IS0 3200 settings and 14 scene modes to adjust the settings to capture the best image in any setting. The function description feature that is a provision in this device provides an easy understanding of each setting while scrolling through the menu.
