Nikon has announced the Coolpix S1000pj that is claimed to be the first digital camera with an in-built projector. Owing to this built-in projector, users can project movies and clips on any flat surface at a maximum of 40-inches in size. Along with this in-built projector this digicam is said to feature a include a projector stand, a multi-functional remote along with many other goodies.
The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj is said to come with a 12 mega-pixel sensor, a 2.7-inch LCD screen, a 5x optical zoom and an ISO of 3200 and a miniature projector is situated on the front of the camera in the centre. As per reports, the projector is said to have worked well in a dimly lit room, wherein the images projected on a white screen were sharp and crisp.
This S1000pj is all-set to ship in September with an expected price tag of $430. Nikon has also added three more 12 mega-pixel digital cameras to the Coolpix series all set to hit the stores in September.

The next one, Nikon Coolpix S640, apparently priced at $250, is reported to include a 5x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch LCD monitor. Nikon is boasting of the S640 having a quick start-up time of just 0.7 seconds and a fast automatically and motion tracking features. |
| The final one of the lot is the Nikon Coolpix S570 that has been designed to replace the Coolpix S550 and S560. It is stated to feature a 5x optical zoom lens, light sensitivity of ISO 3200 and optical image stabilisation system. It is currently priced at $200. | ![]() |
