The Concord 5340z Compact Digital Camera is well housed in a silver metal body, buttressed with 5 mega pixel resolution to realise the best of image details. The good CCD sensor is well backed up by a 3 x optical zoom lens that enables the user to shoot distant objects with increased ease. The memory power of the device is also remarkable to start with a 16 MB resident memory followed by a slot for an SD card.
The LCD and Flash Aspects
The model accommodates a 2" LCD display monitor that offers increase ease in menu reading and navigation. The camera also offers a comparatively good built in flash with a forced flash fill in mode as a supportive feature. With this mode on the camera forces the flash on even in brightly lit environments to keep even the minutest of shades that an amateur usually sees through, at bay.
Image Conceiving
The Concord 5340z Digital Camera relies on the Auto Focus mode and the Macro mode for accomplishing picture perfection, being a point-and-shoot camera solely. The device smartly provides a platter of five scene mode options: Sport, Portrait, Night, Landscape and Automatic mode. The colour judgement (Auto White Balancing) in the model is exclusively left to the camera’s brain, though the user is left with the option of managing the light affair with the availability of an exposure compensation adjustment aspect in it. The Macro mode also excels with a focusing capability of up to 3.9 inches.

The ASF movie-capturing capability of the camera, vests in its movie mode. It can also accept MPEG-4 movie along with sound at QVGA resolution up to 30 frames per second.
Conclusion
The camera is not an ideal one for the professionals with an array of weaknesses proving the depriving factor. Starting with absence of a manual focusing mode, it does not feature a productive burst mode either. Other lagging features of the model ranges from a weak ISO 70 speed that simply stand a silent witness to a noticeable image-noise, a much-disturbed video playback with a creaking audio to an LCD screen minus brightness adjustments.
