Pentax Optio S60 Digital Camera

Pentax has introduced the Pentax Optio S60 Digital Camera, which is a stylish and elegant device specifically meant for inexperienced and first time users.

Pentax Optio S60 6MP Digital Camera offers an image resolution of 6.4 mega-pixels, which produces the finer details of the image. It has a dimension of 89x59x28 mm and a weight of 135 grams. The camera features a smc Pentax lens, which delivers high contrast clear images. The 12-bit A/D converter delivers low noise images even in low light conditions. Images can be previewed on the camera's 2.5-inch LCD screen that has a resolution of 115kpixels. The camera has an internal memory of 11MB which can be increased using SD memory cards.

Images can be magnified to 3 times its original size owing to Pentax Optio S60 Digital Camera's 3x optical zoom. The image quality remains unaltered in case of optical zoom however it gets blurred when digital zoom is used. The digital zoom of this camera is 2.6x. The focal length ranges between 5.8mm to 17.4mm. The minimum focus range of the camera starts at 40cm; however by using the macro mode even images that are at a distance of 6cm can be shot with precision. Video is recorded at the rate of 20 frames per second. The video resolution ranges between 320x240 pixels and 160x120 pixels. The camera comes with few preset white balance modes and an internal flash which automatically corrects the red-eye factor.

The Pentax Optio S60 Compact Digital Camera provides 12 picture shooting modes to choose from, thus allowing you to shoot a wide range of subjects. The images and videos can be viewed either on the television by using the camera's video-out port as well as on the computer through the USB interface. It comes with PictBridge compatibility that allows you to directly print your photos; thus eliminating the need for a computer. The Optio S60 brings along a a carrying strap, a USB cable, an AV cable, a software CD-ROM and an instruction manual.
