Pentax has announced the high performance Pentax Optio P70 Digital Camera, that comes with a stylish and compact body packed with advanced functionalities that make your photographing experience an effortless and pleasurable one.
Pentax Optio P70 12MP Digital Camera comes with 12 mega-pixels of image resolution which is clubbed with a high performance imaging engine for delivering superior quality pictures. The higher the resolution of the camera's sensor the better is the quality of the pictures. This camera is 54mm high, 97mm wide and 21.5mm deep. It weighs around 110 grams. A 2.7-inch LCD screen that comes with a resolution of 230K pixels. The camera's 33.75MB internal memory can be increased using SD or SDHC memory cards. The focal length ranges between 4.9 – 19.6mm, which on a 35mm camera is equivalent to 27.5 – 110mm. The camera's in-built flash employs a pre-discharge feature for the red-eye reduction function. It also employs 5 types of white balance settings.
Pentax Optio P70 Digital Camera comes with a 4x optical zoom and 6.3x digital zoom. The optical zoom provides magnification without any unfavourable effects on the image quality, however in case of digital zoom the image clarity gets affected and the result may be a blurred image. The light sensitivity factor that influences the sharpness level of the image ranges between ISO 64 and ISO 6400. You can also set the camera to automatically select the correct setting as per the situation. In the macro mode, you can shoot subjects that are about 10cm apart with proper contrast and exposure settings. Continuous shooting is done at the rate of 4fps, the maximum shutter speed being 1/1000 second. The maximum video resolution is 1280x720 pixels and it is recorded at the rate of 30 frames per second.
Pentax Optio P70 Compact Digital Camera comes with a Digital Panorama mode that is used to create a single panoramic picture from a total of three images, while the vertical mode is useful in taking vertical snaps. It comes with a Super Fast Face Recognition function that can track and capture the face in just about 0.03 seconds. It includes 26 shooting modes. It includes Triple anti-shake protection feature that prevent the various types of camera shakes. In case an image has been deleted accidentally, you can use the Image recovery function to retrieve it. Pentax has preloaded the camera system with 90 frames for you to get creative with your snaps. Its PictBridge compatibility allows you to take direct prints of your images. This Digital camera brings along a USB cable, an AV cable, a software CD-ROM and an instruction manual.
