The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-G1 is a digital camera with a horizontal sliding panel that functions as a protection for the lens when closed. It sports a 6 mega-pixel sensor resolution that is capable of producing fairly good quality images. It is equipped with the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lens that allows users to enlarge the image 3 times the original size without causing distortion. A large 3.5-inch, 921k pixel, LCD screen has been provided for composing and framing the images. It measures about 93 x 72 x 25 mm in dimensions and weighs about 235 grams.
