MP Digital Camera is new from Samsung that has an 8.1 megapixels picture resolution with 3x optical zoom facility. Images that are captured by the camera are displayed on a 2.5inches TFT active matrix LCD screen of resolution 230,000 pixels. This device has dimensions of 5.7 x 1.8 x 9.5cms and weighs 145grams.
This black cased camera has body made of stainless steel and can be used as a digital player and voice recorder as well. It has an effective sensor resolution of 8,200,000 pixels. Its CCD optical sensor is of size 1/2.5 inches. It supports 5x digital zoom.
The lens used for capturing images is a zoom lens with focal length 6.3 to 18.9mm. Focus can be adjusted automatically using TTL contrast detection method. Minimum and macro focus ranges are 80cm and 1cm respectively. Zoom adjustment is done using a motorized drive.

This Samsung digital camera has shutter speeds between 15 and 1/2000seconds. Exposure metering can be done in Multi-segment, centre-weighted, spot modes using programmed or automatic exposure modes. Automatic exposure is done in 3 steps at ±2 EV.
Face detection and white balance are facilitated. White balancing options are custom, automatic and preset modes. Preset white balancing modes are Cloudy, tungsten light, daylight, fluorescent light (cool white), fluorescent light and (daylight). Still images are stored in JPEG formats and digital video are stores in MPEG-4 and AVI formats.
