The Nikon D300s is the updated version of the Nikon D300 Digital SLR Camera that was launched around 2 years ago. Some additional functionalities added into the Nikon D300s 12MP Digital SLR Camera is the 720p movie shooting mode, contrast detection auto-focusing mode, dual memory card slots one for SD and the other for CFI/II, etc. Also the user gets the Live View feature without which any DSLR is incomplete today. Also it includes a socket for connecting external stereo microphone in addition to the camera's in-built mic for better quality sound. The back of the gadget sports a 3-inch 920-pixel LCD screen resembling the Nikon D700 DSLR.
