Canon PowerShot A1000 IS Digital Camera

Canon has added another digital camera to its PowerShot series with the Canon PowerShot A1000 IS Digital Camera; which offers excellent combination of features. The Canon PowerShot A1000 IS 10MP Digital Camera has a dimension of 95.4 x 62.4 x 31.0 mm and a weight of about 155 grams. It is made up of CCD sensors that provide an image resolution of 10 mega-pixels for superior quality images. It uses the patented DIGIC III image processor for faster image processing, better image quality and greater noise reduction. This portable digital camera includes a 2.5-inch LCD monitor for viewing images. This camera's internal memory can be increased using SD, SDHC or MMC external memory cards.
The Canon PowerShot A1000 IS Digital Camera provides a 4x optical and 4x digital zoom. The optical and digital zoom determine the magnification that can be provided to the original image. However, unlike the digital zoom, the optical zoom does not affect the quality and clarity of resultant image. The focal length of this camera varies between 6.2 – 24.8 mm, which is equivalent to 35 – 140mm on a 35mm camera. The light sensitivity factor of a digital camera in fact enhances the quality of image in challenging lighting situations. This Canon camera offers a high ISO that varies between ISO 80 to 1600. Movies are recorded at a resolution of 640x480 pixels at a rate of 30fps.
Canon PowerShot A1000 IS Compact Digital Camera includes the Face Detection technology that can focus on up-to 9 faces to adjust the focus, exposure white balance and flash settings for optimal images with the most realistic looks. It also includes a Motion detection feature that can sense the physical movement of the subject and accordingly adjust the shutter speed. Finally, there may be blurred images due to camera shakes, these are automatically corrected by the Image Stabilisation technique.
