THE DISPLAY
Canon Power shot S80 Digital camera has a 2.5-inch, low–temperature polycrystalline silicon TFT colour LCD monitor. The digital camera has also got an 8-mega pixels CCD image sensor. The colour screen display has been supported with RGB colour filters. The size of the display is 2.5 inches. The display has an LCD optical viewfinder as well.
LENS
The Lens of Canon Power shot S80 Digital camera is versatile. It is auto focus supported with TTL. The lens is 5.8 (W) –20.7 (T) mm (35mm film equivalent of28 - 100mm) f/2.8 (W)-f/5.3 (T). The lens zooms 4.0 x (up to approximately 14x in combination with the optical zoom). It shoots in modes normal, macro and with manual focus. The shutter functions mechanically and electronically.
KEY FUNCTIONS
Canon Power shot S80 Digital has got a metering system that is centre weighted, spot and average. The white balance functions meticulously at site- and- scene conditions like, cloudy, day light, tungsten, custom and the under water. The flash feature functions auto, on, off, slow sync with red eye reduction. The shooting modes are: auto, creative and the image zone. The still images support JPEG, movies AVI (having the motion data with the JPEG) and the audio data WAVE. The special feature of this camera is that it’s got play back modes. This digital camera is lightweight, weighing 225 grams, and the length, width and height dimensions are 104 x 57 x 38.8mm, excluding the protrusions.

Positive: This camera has the colour balancing option; perhaps while talking the photos in the dim or dark light this will balance the colours and outputs the clear image.
Negative: there are lot of points in this model, this is in the beginner level camera and the features in others are lacking in this.
This is a lovely model. This is an affordable model and features the best.
