Canon Power Shot S2 IS Digital Camera has hit the market with advanced features. It is lightweight and easy to use. Its delivers good performance and high quality pictures.
KEY FEATURES
Canon Power Shot S2 IS Digital camera functions with auto focus TTL. The focus frame is 1 point AF. There is focus lock and manual focus facility. The normal focus range is 50cm up to infinity (W)/90cm(3.0ft) – infinity (T). There are two levels of close-up shooting, the macro with 10 to 50cm and the super macro with 0-10cm. The shutter works electronically and mechanically. The shutter speed is 15 sec to 1/3200sec in manual mode.
EXPOSURE
The Light metering system in Canon Power Shot S2 IS Digital is evaluative, centre- weighted average or Sport (centre or AF point). The exposure control system includes program AE, shutter priority AE, aperture priority AE, and manual exposure control AE, with lock facility.
FLASH
The flash modes present in the camera are: auto, on, off and the red eye reduction. The flash ranges are: normal 2.3-17.1ft. /0.7-5.2 m (w), 2.3-13.1ft. /0.7-4.0m (T). The macro range is 1.0ft-2.3ft/0.3-0.7m.
IMAGE AND THE DISPLAY
The image sensor in Canon Power Shot S2 IS Digital camera is ½.5 inches CCD, with RGB colour filter array. The total number of pixels is 5.3 million, and the effective number of the pixels is 5.0 million. The monitor of this digital camera is TFT colour LCD and measures 1.8 inches with a resolution of 115,000 pixels. It has a convenient tilt 180° and swivel 270°, with 100% picture coverage.
THE IMAGE RECORDING
Still images can be recorded in JPEG format, the movies in AVI and the audio data in WAVE. The image recording compressions are: super fine, normal and fine. The still images can be taken large, medium and small. Canon Power Shot S2 IS Digital camera weighs just 405 grams.

There are lot of specifications with this camera. This camera has TFT monitor with LCD screen is ease to use. The pixel setup creates small problems. Too expensive to buy.
