BenQ; the winner of several awards for quality and design, has now launched a new product; the BenQ DC C740i Digital Camera.
BenQ DC C740i 7MP Digital Camera comes with a picture resolution of 7 mega-pixels, thus users can now get superior quality images. The maximum images resolution lies in the range of 640 x 480 pixels to 3072 x 2304 pixels. A higher image resolution can help portray the finer details of the image. Before shooting the images can be previewed on the camera’s 2.5-inch LCD display which has a screen resolution of 150K pixels. It has a dimension of 91.5 x 61.5 x 32 mm and a weight of 140 grams. Its internal memory of 6MB can be increased using SD memory cards. This camera has a focal length that ranges between 6.2 mm – 18.6 mm which is equivalent to 37.5 – 112.5mm on a 35mm film camera.
BenQ DC C740i Digital Camera is made up of Pentax lens. Pentax lenses are known to produces better quality images as they can achieve up-to 99.8% of light penetration. Its optical zoom is 3x, while the digital zoom is 4x. This indicates that the image can be magnified up-to 3 times without any adverse effect to image quality. A better light sensitivity produces sharper images; in case of this camera the maximum light sensitivity is ISO1000. It has 6 white balance settings as well as automatic red-eye correction factor. It has an auto-focus feature with the minimum focus distance of 40cm; however users can use the macro focus and capture images as close as 15cm with precision and clarity.
BenQ DC C740i Compact Digital Camera permits continuous video recording. Video can be recorded at the rate of 30 frames per second with a video resolution of 848 x 480 pixels. Also users have an option to zoom while recording. Along with Shake Reduction Factor this camera is also equipped with a Face Tracking function that detects and tracks faces before focusing to produce clear images. The images shot using the BenQ DC C740i Digital Camera can be viewed on a computer using the camera’s USB-PC interface. It also has a video-out port for viewing images and video on the television. Additionally its PictBridge compatibility ensures that images are directly printed on any PictBridge compatible printer, eliminating the computer.
