- The new Acer CS-6531 digital camera is a 6.2-mega pixel digital camera with a CCD sensor of size 1/2.5 inches. It is this CCD sensor that actually captures the images for you. The Acer CS-6531 digital camera supports an optical zoom of 3x along with a 4x digital zoom. It comes integrated with a 35 mm zoom lens supporting auto focus feature.
- Another significant feature of the new Acer CS-6531 digital camera is that with this camera you can take video images at a VGA video resolution of 640 x 480 pixels at a speed of 20 frames per second. It is also to be noted that the length of the movie depends on the free memory size of the camera. The video images taken are saved in either MPEG-4 or ASF file formats. The still images taken with this camera are stored in JPEG file formats.

- The camera also supports image capture modes that include Auto, Panorama, Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Night, Candlelight, Macro, Sunset, Sunrise, Splash Water and Fireworks that helps you to take images with great clarity and sharpness.
- Another key features that the new Acer CS-6531 digital camera is the TFT active matrix LCD panel that the camera has on the backside. The LCD panel is of size 2.5-inches and supports a screen resolution of 201,096 pixels.
- The camera also comes integrated with a built in SD card having a memory space of 10 MB. This highly compact camera has a weight of 130 grams and uses a Lithium Ion battery to power it. It has a height of 5.5 cm, a width of 8.9 cm and a depth of 5.5 cm.

My previous camera disappointed me very much. So I was in great dilemma to choose the new one and was surfing through net. Eventually I found Acer CS 6531. For the first time I’m using Acer so, was a bit sceptical, still bought the same. But to my amazement I found this one absolutely excellent. With out reading the user manual I’m able to operate the camera. Built in speaker and others are really good. It is also compact and perfect.
Good: interval shooting mode and built in microphone.
Bad: could do better than rivals.
This feels excellent for outdoors. This has many features, especially zooming option is priceless.
